Kadek
Founder & Heart of Seek & Dive
Kadek's life was always connected to the ocean. Growing up in Amed, he learned to fish with his father and discovered scuba diving in 2005 with his uncle, one of the village's first instructors. Years of exploring Indonesia on liveaboards shaped his experience and deepened his love for the underwater world. Since becoming an instructor in 2021, he has shared that passion daily through diving in Amed, exploring famous sites while diving in Tulamben, and guiding guests across vibrant reefs when diving in Kubu — places he knows like home.
As an instructor, Kadek focuses on what matters most: ensuring every diver feels comfortable, safe, and genuinely welcome. Whether it's a first experience or another adventure diving in Bali, he takes the time to connect with each guest and share the ocean in a personal way.
With Kadek, diving in Amed, diving in Tulamben, and diving in Kubu becomes more than just a dive — it's a local experience, guided with care, passion, and a lifetime by the sea.
Anna
Manager of Seek & Dive
Anna arrived in Bali in 2013 and instantly felt at home by the ocean. Her love for the underwater world led her to complete her Divemaster training while exploring the island's most iconic sites — from Menjangan to diving in Amed, diving in Tulamben, and beyond. She became a PADI Instructor in 2015 and, a year later, was managing a dive centre in Amed, where she met Kadek — a connection that would shape both her life and future in diving in Bali.
When the world slowed down in 2020, Anna and Kadek took the time to rethink what they truly wanted to create. That vision became Seek & Dive — a dive centre built on passion, personal connection, and quality experiences across diving in Amed, diving in Tulamben, and diving in Kubu.
Today, Anna combines teaching with leading the behind-the-scenes strategy, making sure every detail runs smoothly and every guest feels cared for. And when she steps away from planning the next dive, she's usually found with Molly, her beloved dog and loyal shop companion.
Kawi
Dive Guide & Ocean Advocate
Kawi - short for Ketut Kawiada - grew up in Buleleng, where his journey to the ocean began in a simple but meaningful way. While still in school, he joined an extracurricular activity that introduced him to coral reefs for the first time. What started as curiosity quickly turned into something deeper, as he learned that coral is not rock, but a living part of the ocean - and one of its most important. That early experience shaped how he sees the sea today and sparked a lasting respect for protecting it.
Over the years, Kawi continued to build his connection with the ocean, joining local clean-up and rescue efforts and learning more about marine life and the impact of pollution. Diving became more than just a hobby - it became a way to understand and care for the underwater world. From diving in Amed to exploring sites while diving in Tulamben, and back to his home waters in Buleleng, each experience has deepened both his knowledge and his passion for diving in Bali.
Now part of the Seek & Dive family as a Divemaster, Kawi brings that same sense of purpose into every day. He values teamwork, respect, and the strong connection shared within the team - something that makes everyone feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
Wayan
Our Go-to Guy & All-round Legend
Wayan — lovingly known as Jepang — is Kadek's brother and an essential part of the Seek & Dive team. Whether it's driving guests along the coast for diving in Amed, coordinating smooth transfers for diving in Tulamben, or getting everything ready for a day of diving in Kubu, he's always one step ahead. From boat days on Fat Tuna to behind-the-scenes logistics across diving in Bali, Wayan makes sure every plan comes together effortlessly.
More than a driver, Wayan is an indispensable part of the dive family and someone everyone relies on. Always smiling and ready to help, he supports both the team and our guests, making sure every day runs smoothly from start to finish. From small details to big adventures, he helps turn each experience into something easy, personal, and memorable.
Merix
On-the-Road Expert & Local Guide
Merix is from Tulamben, where his journey into the world of diving began on the road. Starting as a dive driver in his early thirties, he quickly discovered how much he enjoyed being part of each day’s adventure. From supporting trips for diving in Tulamben to now working here in Amed, he’s built a strong understanding of local routes, timing, and the flow of dive days - always helping things run smoothly from start to finish.
Now part of the Seek & Dive family, Merix brings reliability, experience, and a calm, friendly presence to every journey. Whether it’s an early start for diving in Amed, a day trip for diving in Tulamben, or heading out for diving in Kubu, he works closely with the team to make every experience easy and comfortable. For him, it’s not just about driving - it’s about being part of something shared, where everyone feels welcome and well looked after.
Ketut
Fixer, Organiser & Equipment Expert
Ketut - full name Ketut Sumantara - is from here in Amed and knows the rhythm of dive life inside and out. Before joining Seek & Dive, he spent several years working as a boat crew member for a dive centre in Sanur, building hands-on experience at sea and supporting daily dive operations. Over time, he developed a strong understanding of how everything fits together - from boats and gear to the small details that keep a dive day running smoothly.
Now back in Amed with the Seek & Dive team, Ketut is the one quietly making sure everything is ready behind the scenes. From preparing and maintaining equipment to keeping the shop organised, he’s always one step ahead. Known as the “I do everything in the shop” guy, he brings a calm, practical approach and a natural talent for fixing just about anything, ensuring each day flows smoothly from start to finish.
Memek Wayan Putri
The Heart & Blessing of Seek & Dive
You'll often see Memek Wayan Putri moving gently between the dive shop, Warung Mewali, and our boat, Fat Tuna, placing daily offerings and bringing a sense of balance to everything we do. Her presence is part of the rhythm of life here, quietly supporting each day of diving in Amed, preparing for trips to dive in Tulamben, and sending guests off safely for diving in Kubu with care and intention.
She brings warmth, kindness, and a special energy to the whole experience of diving in Bali. And during surface intervals, many divers look forward to one of her simple but unforgettable treats — freshly made fried bananas, shared with a smile and always enjoyed by the sea.
Molly
Our Beloved Shop Dog
Molly holds a very special place at Seek & Dive. Found as a newborn on the streets, just days old, we welcomed her into a safe and loving home at our family-run warung, where she grew up surrounded by care and affection. When she had her own litter, we made sure every pup had the best start in life, and today she's lovingly cared for by Kadek's family, with all of us looking out for her.
You'll often see Molly at the dive shop whenever Kadek and Anna are around, wagging her tail and greeting divers with her warm, friendly presence. She's more than just a shop dog — she's become a heartwarming part of the Seek & Dive family, adding joy to every day of diving in Amed, diving in Tulamben, and diving in Kubu.
And here's a little fun fact: whenever the boat leaves the shore, Molly runs along the beach after it for as long as she can.
Lola
The Free Spirit of Seek & Dive
Lola is Anna’s first Bali dog - and very much her own kind of character. A true local at heart, she’s a pure Bali dog with a strong sense of independence and a personality you can’t help but love. Lola does things her way, on her own terms, and once she decided that Seek & Dive was part of her world, there was no question - she simply made herself at home.
If she’s ever left behind, it doesn’t last long. Somehow, she always finds her way back, often appearing at the shop not long after, ready to settle in. Most days, you’ll find her stretched out in the garden or quietly watching over the entrance. She might greet you with a bark or simply hold your gaze as you arrive - but always with a calm, steady presence. Lola has become a natural part of the space here in Amed, sending divers off each day in her own way and adding a quiet, protective energy to our second home at Seek & Dive.
