A personal collection of the dive sites that hold a special place in my heart — from dawn wreck dives to hidden macro paradises.
Why these spots are special
"Over years of guiding divers in Amed and Tulamben, I've found that some sites just have a special magic. Whether it's the way the light hits the Liberty Wreck at dawn, or the hidden critters in Jemeluk Bay that only locals know how to find."
"These aren't just popular tourist spots; they are the places where I go to reconnect with the ocean myself. I've spent countless hours exploring every crevice of these reefs, and I never get tired of them. I can't wait to show you the secrets they hold."

My Personal Recommendations
USAT Liberty Wreck
Kadek's FavouriteUSAT Liberty Wreck in Tulamben is one of the most special dive sites in the world—and it’s right in front of my home area. It is one of the very few shipwrecks globally that you can reach directly from shore, only about 30 meters from the beach, and it lies at depths suitable for all dive levels. The shallow part of the wreck starts at around 5 meters, making it even more accessible for snorkelers.
The Liberty lies on its side, parallel to the shoreline, following the natural slope down to about 30 meters. Because of this layout, it’s a perfect first wreck dive. I often finish the last day of Open Water courses here—where else in the world can you complete your certification on a historic shipwreck? Certified Open Water divers can enjoy safe, short penetration routes with an exit always visible.
