A personal collection of the dive sites that hold a special place in my heart — from dawn wreck dives to hidden macro paradises.
Why these spots are special
"Over years of guiding divers in Amed and Tulamben, I've found that some sites just have a special magic. Whether it's the way the light hits the Liberty Wreck at dawn, or the hidden critters in Jemeluk Bay that only locals know how to find."
"These aren't just popular tourist spots; they are the places where I go to reconnect with the ocean myself. I've spent countless hours exploring every crevice of these reefs, and I never get tired of them. I can't wait to show you the secrets they hold."

My Personal Recommendations

USAT Liberty Wreck
Kadek's FavouriteEveryone working here dives the Liberty almost every other day, but we still love it. Sharks are quite often around, and I’ve been seeing them even more recently. You never know what’s going to happen, and that’s what makes it exciting. Even though it’s a very popular dive site, it’s all about how you enjoy it. I’ve even seen a mola-mola here twice.
You can do the Liberty as an early morning dive, but I don’t do it much in the mornings now because the bumphead parrotfish aren’t around anymore. I like to find something else to show customers then. Even after so many dives, this site still surprises me every time. There’s always a lot to see—octopus, ghost pipefish, turtles, sharks, ribbon eels, moray eels, nudibranchs, snapper, yellow snapper, and groupers. In the shallow parts, you can find big garden eels and sweetlips.
