Nusa Penida

The dive sites around Nusa Penida are some of Bali’s most exciting and sought-after underwater destinations. Famous for strong currents, dramatic walls, and encounters with majestic ocean life, these dives are ideal for experienced divers looking for an unforgettable adventure. Reaching these sites requires a bit of travel — about a 2-hour drive from Amed to Padang Bai harbour, followed by a 1.5-hour boat ride.
Expect to see manta rays gracefully gliding in cleaning stations, schools of trevally swirling through crystal-clear waters, and the occasional mola mola making a seasonal appearance.
