PADI Scuba Diver
The perfect first step for busy travellers to explore the underwater world safely.
Course Description
If you’re short on time but still want a real scuba diving certification, the PADI Scuba Diver course is a great option. It’s perfect if you have just a couple of days and want to explore the underwater world in a safe and relaxed way, without rushing through a full course.
During the course, we will teach you the essential diving skills and knowledge, and once certified, you’ll be qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters, always accompanied by a dive professional. It’s a calm, structured introduction to becoming a certified diver, ideal for beginners who want flexibility.
If later you decide you want to go further, you can easily upgrade to the PADI Open Water Diver course by completing the remaining parts at our dive centre, or anywhere else in the world. Nothing is lost—this course is simply the first step in your diving journey.

What to Expect on Your Scuba Diving Course
If you’re joining us for a PADI Scuba Diver course in Amed, here’s how your training days will look—relaxed, well organised, and focused on learning properly while still enjoying the experience.
Theory – PADI eLearning
Theory – PADI eLearning
Before arriving in Amed, you can choose to receive access to PADI eLearning so that you can complete the theory part at home on your laptop or phone. If you decide to start spontaneously while already in Amed, you’ll still have time to study after diving—at the beach, the pool, or your accommodation.
We highly recommend finishing the theory before the course starts, so we can focus fully on diving once you’re here.
Day 1 – Confined Water Training
Day 1 – Confined Water Training
Your day starts with hotel pickup between 7:30 and 7:50 am, or we meet at the dive shop around 8:00 am if you’re nearby. After check-in, we’ll fit your equipment and enjoy coffee, tea, and water before heading to the beach.
At the dive site, you’ll learn how to assemble and disassemble your equipment, followed by confined water skill sessions in calm, shallow conditions. We split the training into two parts, with a relaxed break and snacks in between, so everything stays comfortable and stress-free.
After the dives, we’ll return to the dive centre, where you can shower and change before joining us for lunch in the dive centre. Afterwards, you can relax at Warung Mewali, our family’s beachside warung, enjoy a sweet dessert, or simply soak up the sun on the beach.
Day 2 – Open Water Dives
Day 2 – Open Water Dives
Day two starts around the same time, but now everything feels easier—you already know your equipment and basic skills. We head straight to the dive sites and complete two open water dives, applying what you’ve learned in a real reef environment. We’re usually back at the shop around 3:00 pm, followed again by a relaxed lunch at the dive centre.
