Diving in
Amed
A quiet fishing village turned world-class dive destination — where volcanic black sand meets vibrant coral reefs.
The dive sites I call home
Amed is my home, and I’m so lucky to have all these amazing dive sites just a short walk or boat ride away. Here, you’ll find shore-accessible reefs, gentle coral slopes, and soft coral fields that make it perfect for everything from training dives to relaxed underwater exploration. Some of my favourite dive sites in Amed include Jemeluk Bay & Wall, Pyramids & Pyramids Wall, Lipah, Bunutan, Lean Wall, Deep Blue, and Gili Selang. Whether you're into macro-rich shallow reefs, advanced drift dives, or chasing pelagic encounters, Amed has something special for every diver. I’d love to take you on a journey to explore these incredible spots.

Amed's Best Dive Sites

Jemeluk Bay & Wall
Kadek's FavouriteJemeluk Bay & Wall in Amed is one of our most-visited dive sites, ideal for both beginner and experienced divers. Calm waters, excellent visibility, and a combination of sandy slopes and vibrant coral reefs make it ideal for training dives, fun dives, and macro photography in Bali. The bay’s gentle terrain allows divers to explore at their own pace while discovering hidden critters among the corals.
Artificial reef structures, including tyre pyramids and metal frames now covered in colourful corals, attract schools of fish, turtles, and a variety of macro life such as nudibranchs, shrimp, and pygmy seahorses. On either side of the bay, healthy natural reefs offer beautiful coral gardens that even new divers can enjoy, making it a top site for diving for all levels.
